Unity Skatepark is located in Dumfries, south west Scotland, and is an ideal place for skaters, BMXers, inline skaters, and anyone who enjoys using a top class concrete public skatepark.
Unity Skatepark’s development is not yet 100% complete, there are still plans to build some Dirt Jumps, get some flood lights up for the winter, and some more things that have not yet been decided, and it’s an exiting time for Unity.
Unity has its own free car park, and it’s free to get onto the park too…so get down there! I’ve put some photos of the park below, check them out!

.: Keep UnityPark.co.uk Running! :.
All of the things on unitypark.co.uk have been made in my own spare time. I also pay for the domain name unitypark.co.uk out of my own pocket and write and maintain the web pages / scripts / systems on the site. All of this takes up a considerable amount of my time.
I provide all of this for free, because at the end of the day, it's nice to think that there are people out there who find the site useful. It is always reassuring to receive emails from people to thank me for my work, and it is mainly this which keeps me going. However, the fact is that all of the stuff here costs a significant amount of my spare time and a bit of my own money.
The hosting costs for the site are coming up fast too, costing around £150.00, so any donations (no matter how small) are very much appreciated!

.: January Update :.
The forum is now up and running so you guys can all get together and chat away with locals who use unity skate park and the good folk who are just looking for some more information about Unity, and the skatepark.
Shortly, the Unity pages on the site will be up and running which will contain a diary, for future events & meetings, information on how to get things in motion if you want to start getting plans together for building a skatepark in your community, information on how Unity started, and why it was thought of, and of course all the future plans for the park, ie. floodlights, dirt jumps, model car tracks, park upgrades etc.
You can watch the launch video that covers from before the park was built, the background etc to the official opening day. You can find the video in the videos pages or you can watch it by clicking here
.: National Adenture Sports Show (NASS) 2006 Update :.
Ok, I’ll be the first to admit I was wrong, NASS is looking much better then when I last wrote a wee review, now they have the camping side of things sorted, it’s easy to get to, and it’s got some good stars from the BMX, Skate & Music world coming along too.
Fair enough, it’s only 2 days this time (yeah I’m still grumbling), and it’s later on in July this year, which is a bugger in a way, because last year it was on the same week as my birthday, which made all the difference, but I’m sure this years event will be just as good, as long as next year they put it back down in Somerset

.: NASS 2006 Update :.
I’ve been doing some investigating about NASS 2006, and it just isn’t looking as good as it’s been over the past years, firstly it’s indoors this time, at the NEC in Birmingham. Now that means you can’t camp on site, you would need to get a hotel, I’ve got no problem with that BUT the nearest hotel was a Hilton priced around £110 per night, at NASS 2005 my hotel was like £30 a night and of course you were allowed to camp at the NASS showground too.
I also looked at the small print for the BMX and SKATE shows, it looks like they can only allow 8,500 of the 30,000 expected to come to watch these comps…bit silly isn’t it? Anyways, I am in doubt of going to NASS ’06 as I’m sure so will a lot of people, I don’t think it’ll be the same atmosphere as NASS ’05, so it might be a no-go.
.: Scottish Skateparks Updated:.
The "Places to ride" area has been updated with Unit23 Skatepark, and Kelvingrove skatepark. Oh...and i’m glad to say that we’ve hooked up with Unit23 skatepark, and Skateboard Scotland, BBC Airtight, and i’m working on getting some other skateparks linked up too.
.: Ramp Plans - 18/07/2005 :.
I thought of something for the site....RAMP PLANS!!
I’m collecting ramp plans for you guys, so you can make some ramps that might last for more than a week (if the neds don’t find em!), Mini ramps, Quarter Pipes, Fun Boxes, Launch Ramps, Vert Ramps, and more... Check out the Ramp Plans page today.
.: NASS Update - 10/07/2005 :.
Well, after an amazing weekend down at NASS ’05, I’ll be coming back to Scotland with a very happy face (for a change!). I’ve designed a special area on this site for the NASS events, as I will now definitely be there every year.
The Friday sucked a little, being all practise runs etc, but then there was the Saturday….ohhh what a great day that was! Matt Hoffman joined the crew, along with last years BMX street pro course 3 times winner, Chris Mahoney & some other great riders gave us an excellent BMX demo to smile about......
There is more info & a good few great pictures & some videos of the BMX Street finals in the special NASS area of this website. Click HERE to go there now
